Petrol hike,,,

I Almost Fainted After Doing It by TV Smith 08/06/08

We were supposed to do it after watching P Ramlee The Musical on Wednesday. The show started late because of some nasty storm and people were stuck in a massive traffic jam all over town. It was already past midnight when the show ended. We headed to the National Press Club for some drinks and by the time supper finished, I was already too sleepy.

Yesterday was a more relaxing day. Can't hang on to it any longer, we both realised. We ended up at our favorite place. It was deserted when we got there at around 2 am. Making sure no Mat Rempit gang were watching, I gently pry opened her moist orifice and inserted her.

She seemed uncharacteristically quiet and insatiable. I've been with my baby for six long years and I know how she normally reacts. During our travel together, we have had our fair share of quickies in all sorts of strange places. But yesterday, we were at familiar territory. Heck, we were doing it at the exact same spot where we first did it. Was that not romantic enough? Sigh.

She's not herself, somehow. I was thinking to myself as I held on to her side; maybe she is still mad I forgot the cap the last time. I yanked it out hastily and the white stuff emerged from the slit. I took a closer look at it and my knees went weak. I almost fainted. OMG! I just pumped one hundred forty six ringgit of petrol !!!! © 2008 TV SMITH Link to this article: http://www.tvsmith.net.my/duasen/080608_fainted.html

I found a jewel......Animal Farm

Take your time off to read this jewel, an all time favorite that will make you to think.....thanks to Lulu its available here....

Animal Farm (Geoge Orwell) :Wikipedia

Animal Farm is a novella by George Orwell, and is the most famous satirical allegory of Soviet totalitarianism. Published in 1945, the book reflects events leading up to and during the Stalin era. Orwell, a democratic socialist, and a member of the Independent Labour Party for many years, was a critic of Joseph Stalin, and was suspicious of Moscow-directed Stalinism after his experiences with the NKVD during the Spanish Civil War.
The book was chosen by Time Magazine as one of the 100 best English-language novels (1923 to 2005)[1] and was number 31 on the Modern Library List of Best 20th-Century Novels.

Make Money From The New Subsidy Scheme? letters to blog by TV Smith 06/06/08 My friend Joey Singh, the former Radio 4 deejay, is always thinking of ways to supplement the miserly 'bunga' he is earning from the bank. He sent me this e-mail on profiteering from the new fuel subsidy scheme. Incidentally, Pos Malaysia has just announced they will hand out cash if you show up in person. Dear TV Smith, Can't believe that the people advising our premier could have thought about a RM625 annual subsidy for every private car owner (2000 cc and below)in lieu of govt subsidised fuel at the pump!Oh, this is so beautiful, if not downright scary. You see, I have a car (30 year-old Toyota Corona) which at market value would be probably 800 to 1,500 ringgit max. Now, I have just got the wildest, most brainy idea that only a Bayi can think of...I go out tomorrow and buy another 10 cars (each maybe about 500 to 800 ringgit) being sold off by desperate owners because nobody wants them. The cars are ready-for-the-scrapyard kind but just barely good enough for a Puspakom inspection and a transfer of ownership effected to me. Then I just find a place to store all of these cars (or I could even scrap them and have cash in hand from the besi buruk man) and then armed with only the registration cards of each car, I proceed to take a 3rd party insurance (about 60 ringgit without any NCB per car) and pop in to my friendly Pos Malaysia or JPJ office and spend about 70 ringgit to 100 ringgit for each car for a one year road tax disc. I spend about roughly 150 ringgit for this procedure and now I hold my breath as the man or lady behind the counter proceed to issue a RM625 ringgit postal order in my name for every card presented at the counter... My yearly cost is RM 150 and I get RM 625 in return. A whopping RM 475 profit that is equivalent to a 12,000 ringgit in fixed deposit for a year. I rest my case... Smith, please highlight this letter in your next blog posting. I think I may be on to something. Give me a little credit though... This former Radio DJ also wants to be an adviser to the PM like everyone else in this country :) Cheers,Joey

PETROL HIKE PART II

http://raajarox.com/
Raja's choice of car...

Remember....remember....liar...liar...
http://www.skthew.com/
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Shahrir Abdul Samad is a pathetic lot.
Not long ago, prior to the fuel price hike announcement by the PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, he was seen telling the world that petrol and diesel prices may go up beginning August, when the subsidy system is re-structured.
Subsequently, almost immediately, his suggestion was refuted by his boss when dramatic price increase for both fuel and electricity were announced simultaneously, putting the entire nation into a shock state.
Yesterday, the D-Day for the new price, he completely changed his tone, justifying the decision made by Pak Lah.
He said the decision as to expedite the announcement of the increase in petrol and diesel prices was not an "afterthought", but rather a need.

What can we expect from liars.....

PETROL PRICE SHOOT UP......AND ELECTRICITY

http://mob1900.blogspot.com/

WHAT THEY SAY (excerpts only, for full content please visit the link).....

"This means since Abdullah Badawi became an elected Prime Minister in 2004, petrol has gone up by 97.1%, while diesel increased by a whopping 231%....."
"Two night ago, on RTM, I asked the current Finance Minister 2 about the higher revenues the country earns from higher world oil prices. Malaysia earns US$250 million more each time oil price increases by US$1 per barrel. Nor Mohamed Yakcob said the Government is of the opinion that "keuntungan PETRONAS sepatut di gunakan untuk masa depan negara dan juga anak-anak dan cucu-cucu kita" (Petronas' profits should be saved for Malaysia's future generations)".For the full transcript of interview, click here.

"Kalau kerajaan tidak cekap menangani kemerosotan ekonomi global yang sedang melanda sekarang, negara bukan sahaja akan mengalami masalah yang teruk.Apa yang sangat-sangat dikhuatiri adalah inflasi yang semakin meruncing sekarang akan bertukar menjadi stagflasi di mana harga pengguna melambung sedangkan pertumbuhan ekonomi menjadi semakin lembap."

"Besides, instead of siphoning the money into the multiple corridors which are going to enrich cronies instead of the needed group, the Government must be seen as sincere and transparent in providing assistance to them since the government is expected to save RM13.7 billion under this new subsidy restructure and other levies. Anything less than that is unacceptable and unjustifiable, given that the Government has been proven to be playing lip service over the time."

"Any way, we Malaysians have a consolation; Prime Minister Abdullah says we are still the cheapest in Asia.
I met Mrs. Ah Soh just now and she told me the price of rice which costs her RM22.50 per 5kg will now cost RM45.00 per 5kg which is a 100% increase. It is observed that essential food will/have increase 100%."

"Abdullah is taking a major political risk in removing price controls as he attempts to recover from disastrous March elections that dealt the ruling coalition its worst results in half a century. Rising prices of food and fuel were a major factor in the ballot, which has triggered repeated calls for the premier to stand down."

I really don't quite care anymore how the government explains, or justifies the petrol/diesel price increase and their restructuring of the petrol subsidy. Not convincing. I'm no economist but I am sure that there must be another way of overcoming the global oil price increase without burdening the rakyat.
http://bytemuncher.blogspot.com/
"With unsubsidized fuel AND super overpriced cars, Malaysians are going to have so much fun in the future. I wonder how the fresh graduates are going to cope with such changes.1. Lack of job opportunities due to improper training/education. (And of course recession)2. Low wages, higher cost of living.3. World market fuel prices and overpriced cars. (The worst combo ever along with low wages"
"It is logical to remove the subsidy structure but the government could have been more prudent and careful in the way they did it."

What I say......I am frustrated, I am sad and disappointed....when the opposition denied 2/3 for BN to form the government, I was happy to know that the chances of petrol price hike will be impossible and will only lead further anger of rakyat towards government.
How wrong can I be???? They have done it within 100 days from election...eating their own words of no petrol hike..liar liar....nothing new as it was expected if they are to win....
The steep increase of more than 40% will burn a hole in every rakyat pockets..we are talking about every products that will be increased in tandem with petrol price....already we are living in a bolehland where are subsidizing corrupt government projects such as the ERL train to KLIA, concessionaire highways and PKFZ and now to add our burden...nah ambik kau...courtesy of BN....on the other hand I had image of PM with smirking smile....hahahah padan muka kau rakyat.....
We still have the cheapest petrol in Asia...yes with higly taxed cars, with one of the unreliable public transport and poor implementation...
Somehow the subsidy for vehicles below 2000cc sounds like an opportunity for many cronies to make a quick buck and abuse. How will this mechanism be implemented??? through who and how many billions has been allocated for it through which department??? Will JPJ counters starts dipensing cash soon for every road tax renewed?? same as the foreign registered vehicles which has been prohibited from filling up recently before price hike, this proposal of cash subsidy seems to be half cooked....
